ENERGY EFFICIENCY STUDIES
In today's world we are becoming increasingly aware of the cost of energy wastage both in monetary terms and in environmental terms. At the same time we have an electricity supply crises in South Africa that is expected to last for at least the next 10 years. As a result ESKOM through its DSM program will pay for up to 50% of any capital cost expended in improving energy efficiency that is expected to save in excess of 500KW, and 100% of any capital expenditure that will result in a savings in peak power.
Alt-e can help and advise on ways to improve energy efficiency. In doing so, we will do the following:
- Do an energy audit of the company to determine where and how energy is being used in the business,
- Look at ways of reducing peak energy usage and reducing energy wastage,
- If applicable, help compile an application to ESKOM DSM for funding,
- Oversee the implementation of any solution,
- Do regular follow up energy audits to ensure that efficiency is being maintained.
